LEARN TO DRAW THE BALL WITH JIM KELLY GOLF
GOLFTIPS FROM JIM KELLY
LEARN HOW TO DRAW THE BALL.
This golf move is so easy, take your stance as normal, place your ball as normal, now imagine you have placed the ball in the centre of a clock face.normal swing path is when the club enters the clock face at 6 and leaves the face at 12,obviousely striking the ball on it’s way to exit.
Now here’s the secret.
This time, instead of the club entering the clock face at 6,make it enter at 7,hitting the ball and exiting at 1 on the face.get the feeling of your elbow dropping to your side as you execute the start of the downswing you’ll be amazed and delighted how quickly you learn ,and watch that ball keep rolling when it hits the turf.
believe me when i say this where the 300 yard drives originate from, and remember slow down that backswing.
Fairway Bunker Golf Tips From Jim Kelly Golf
Fairway Bunker
The lie should determine the type of shot you should play and the distance you can expect.Concentrate on retaining your balance throughout,Make sure your stance is firm and your feet are worked well into the sand.Don’t attempt to force the shot,An open stance, with the weight favouring the left side, will encourage a more upright swing.Club selection should be decided by the lie, height of the bunker lip and how close to the lip the ball is sitting

Pulling The Ball Left By Jim Kelly
PULLING THE GOLF BALL LEFT,you have finally fixed that fade but now its going just too much right.your confidence is rising, you’re hitting it a good few yards furthur and straighter. you start to get aggressive and low and be hold you can draw the ball. cracked it? as the weeks go by,you start to hook and start to wish your fade would return. at least your fade lay in the short grass.ok, it happens to us all. you’ve .spent years finding a draw and now its a fight against a hook.more than likely an over active right hand has develloped and your right hand and forearm rotate too quickly and too much as you approach the ball and the ball goes left.
Here’s the drill to get the ball going straight again. take an 8 iron, tee up,but before you start swinging, take your index finger on your right hand(trigger finger) and place it on top of the shaft in stead of
under the shaft, this will dissapates the tension in your arm and allows the club to find the possition to start the downswing

Shanking. At Jim Kelly Golf
Shanking is a soul destroyer to the point you keep repeating it. The club most golfers hit a shankwith is the wedge and the reason for this is the steep,outside-in path it takes to use the club as it should. To hit it high and straight the club must be open but it places the hosel of the club veryclose to the ball. The remedy.let your arms hang from your shoulders at address with a slight reach for the ball.also get your rear in gear with the bar stool sitting position. You will now have room between arms and bodyKeep your hips and rear in position as any forward motion could lead to a shank as the hands are pushing. the club towards the ball.Tip, place a club 10 mill from the end of your wedge, normal swing and do’nt hit the club.

The best thing about “The Simple Golf Swing” is that it is a system. Most golfers swing at the ball, but never really THINK about what they did wrong, or more importantly, what they did right.
Thinking about the possible corrections usually will not work because there’s always a little wrist cock, or a certain turning angle that could have influenced the good or bad result.
What a system does for your game is it allows you to proactively analyze each shot after you hit it and realize the result, good or bad.
For example, I hit the ball and it slices. Now most golfers are going to hit the ball again and slice it again. Maybe they hit a good ball every once in a while, but they’ll never know what MADE them hit the good shot.
With this system you’ll get 5 simple steps to go through for every swing you put on the ball. Now you’ll start to see trends developing, and you can always tie those trends back to one of the 5 steps you are most likely forgetting about which is causing the negative trend.
So in my example, I hit a slice. Now because I have this system in place, I automatically know what I have to concentrate on for the next shot. I know that I did one of 2 things. I let my body get ahead of my hands, or I failed to start the downswing with my arms. If I top the ball, I automatically know that I failed to keep my leading shoulder down on the ball.
So the point is that having simple but effective controls in place will really help your game. You’ll be really surprised how much you’ll learn about your own game, and how easy it is to develop and maintain good habits once you understand how to recognize them. take a closer look

WHAT IS A LINKS COURSE
Reminds me of the time i was playing 18 holes in central florida with these two guys i had just met.
Jeff and Ken were on vacation and realizing i was from scotland proceeded to tell there game plan for
tomorrow, they were going to play a links course just down the road.
Knowing this area like the back of my hand i suggested they might be playing down the road ,but they
were’nt playing a links course. I put it to them “do you know what a links course means” and both said
no, we are taking the word of the guy booking us in. Ok then i’l explain what a links course is.
We have sea and we have parkland and the bit in the middle is the”link”, the course is between the
sea and the parkland, hence no links course inland.(sorry if this is useless information)

GOLF TIPS FROM JIM KELLY
TAKE A MINUTE TO STUDY “BIG ERNI”WITH JIM KELLY GOLF
“BIG EASY”as we know him, erni is 6″ 3″ with a swing that is so effortlesswhen he generates power by putting the proper sequence of downswing moves, listen up. PERFECT PATH when erni starts his swing, his left shoulder lifts up a littlewhile his right shoulder stays low.the lifting of the left shoulder allowserni to to keep his head behind the ball through the impact zone.level shoulders make it difficult to swing along the inside-out path.SWING PATH.do’nt try and guide the club, only control the swing and trust your know-how to contact the ball. TEMPO.big easy comes from the ability to combine the action of the hips with a good arm swing. BALANCE, this starts at the ground, wide stance making a solid base.really you can’t argue with these thoughts. (he’s too big )

PUTTING ONE ARM
What’s this, putting with one arm,yes it can improve your putting stroke by instilling a feeling of acceleration through the putt for smooth, end -over-end rollYour back arm putting gives you this largely due to the weight of the putter and a coordinated rock o the shoulders.one armed putting promotes a longer followthrough which improves accuracy and consistencyAfter this practice your distance and accuracy will improve no end

RAM IT HOME WITH JIM KELLY GOLF
RAM IT HOME,you can hit the ball a mile, but your knees wobble while standing over a breaking six footer of a putt.the same aggressive attitude shown on the tee as needed to ram the ball home. be brave.
DO’NT GIVE THE HOLE AWAY.THE FIRST RULE OF SHORT PUTTS IS, whenever possible,do’nt give the hole away.that means aligning yourself at a spot somewhere within the parameters of the hole. your odds are better if you can aim inside the hole, because a straighter putt means less guesswork than a big breaker
GOLF TIPS FROM JIM KELLY
KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN (no no )
I bet you were told to keep your head down, but it should have been “steady” not “down”.As a result of being told to keep your head down makes you concentrate on locking their eyes on the ball, forcing your head down so the chin almost touches the top of the chest.Dipping the chin impedes the proper turn of the shoulders back and through, probably the main cause of a poor shot.Keep the chin high throughout your swing.Instead of trying to keep your head “down”, think about keeping it “steady”in a raised position. This will let the rest of your body perform properly

What a few days of golf nostalgia, having walked the OLD COURSE on sunday , stood on the swilken bridge where all the great golfers have stood before me.Stood on the eighteenth tee thought about taking my sweater off,(just like jack did) and imaginetaking that monster swing to see the ball land on the green,Some hitThen yesterday played the OLDEST COURSE IN THE WORLD at musselburgh, scotland. It maybe is 9 holes but you still have to get this little white ball in the hole.

SLICE? WHAT SLICE WITH JIM KELLY GOLF
YOUR SLICE.
Concentrating too hard on hitting the back of the ball, you swing stiffly, failing to to release your body or your club through inpact. Weight remains rooted on your right foot, giving your left hip no chance to clear. Because your moves are restricted there is no room for your hands and arms to come through. This is the reason for an ugly slice.Try this for releasing the club. When placing the ball on the tee, place the logo in the middle or half way up and to the left of centre looking backwards.Normal stance,FOCAS ON THE LOGO, AND SWING TRYING TO HIT IT.If done correctly, the clubface passes inside the ball-to -target line before impact and outside it after impact, with the clubface square when it makes contact.Practice with a 7 iron and very soonyou’ll be hitting a draw with the ball passing from rigjht to left instead of that dreaded slice.
GOLF TIP FROM JIM KELLY
CHIPPING !IMPROVING IS EASY WITH JIM KELLY GOLF
MASTER YOUR CHIPPING
YOUR HEAD
Keep your head still and your eyes focused on the ball possition untill the ball is well on it’s way.how many times have you looked up quickly in your eagerness to see how the shot has fared?this is fatal,it promotes a jerky, rushed throughswing and a duffed chip.
SHOULDERS
The chipping action is like an extension, to your putting action, your shoulders move back and forth almost exactly as if you’re putting with a pendulum stroke.ARMSThe arms are firm, but fluid and relaxed, and remain so throughout the stike.the left arm especially must stay solid,Like the put, the backswing and throughswing are the same length.never let your arms stiffen,it reduces your feel for the shot, possibly causing a misshit.
HANDS,
Grip furthur down the shaft than usual to promote greater feel for the club head. The grip is light, but firm.To gain an idea of the sort of feel you should be working towards, imagine holding a tube of toothpaste tightly, but not so forcefully that you push the paste out of the top.
KNEES
To swing properly for any kind of golf shot, your legs must provide you with sound balance so that you can transfer your weight smoothly and effectively as you play the stroke.Your knees are gently flexed, allowing you to maintain even balance and rythm.Note ,that you stand straight, and not stoop.
FEET
This is feel shot with a gentle, short swing,so the feet are close together.Take your stance with the ball at the back of the stance, which allows him to strike down on the ball. This promotes a clean hit, and reduces the possibility of a thin mishit
